Using Crosshatch in Cursor
Cursor is a popular AI-powered code editor, and is extremely easy to use with Crosshatch.
First, create a free Crosshatch account, and visit the API Keys page.
Generate a new API Key for "Cursor" and copy the key to your clipboard
From the Cursor toolbar, click "Settings" -> "Cursor Settings" and select the "Models" tab
In the "OpenAI API Key" section, expand the "Override OpenAI Base URL (when using key)" menu and paste
https://api.crosshatch.app/v1
. Hit "Save"In the API Key field, paste the Crosshatch API Key you generated in step 2. Click Verify.
If verification fails, make sure
gpt-3.5-turbo
is enabled and try again (Cursor currently uses this model during the verification process).
Next, find the Model Mix from the Crosshatch Mixes directory that you wish to use.
Copy the mix name from the Crosshatch site. For this example, we'll use the LMSys Coding Leaderboard mix.
In the "Models" screen in the Cursor, tap "+ Add model" and paste the model mix name.
Test the integration
Open the Cursor Chat screen. In the model dropdown, select lmsys-coding
.
Open a new file and enter ⌘K to open the inline assistant menu. Use the dropdown there and select lmsys-coding
That's it!
Now you're free to use the great AI features in Cursor with the powerful model mixes from Crosshatch.
If something didn't quite work, we're ready to help on Discord and X.
