Using Crosshatch in Raycast

Raycast is a popular productivity and workflow management app for MacOS. It's simple to upgrade Raycast with Crosshatch model mixes.

1. First, create a free Crosshatch account, and visit the API Keys page.

2. Generate a new API Key for "Raycast" and copy the key to your clipboard

   
3. Open the Raycast Store and install the popular "ChatGPT" extension.

   
4. Once installed, type "chat" into Raycast to search for the extension.

5. Enter ⌘K and and select the "Configure Extension" item

   
6. In the "API Key" field, enter the Crosshatch API Key you generated in step 2.

   
7. Scroll down and check "Enable custom model name", "Change API Endpoint", and update the API Endpoint to point to Crosshatch.

   
8. Next, find the Model Mix from the Crosshatch Mixes directory that you wish to use.

9. Copy the mix name from the Crosshatch site, and verify the Base URL matches the "API Endpoint" in Step 7. For this example, we'll use the LMSys Overall Leaderboard mix which is ideal for day-to-day questions and related tasks.

   
10. Type "models" into the Raycast bar to open the Custom Model settings for the ChatGPT extension

    
11. Click "Edit Model" on the Default model, and paste the model name copied from the Crosshatch website into the "Model" field.

    

Test the integration

To test it, enter "chat" into the Raycast bar, open the "Ask question" command from the ChatGPT extension, and ask a question. The response will come from the chosen Crosshatch model mix.
